Product Review Methodology

Last updated: 05/09/2026

This page explains how Think & Shop evaluates and features the products shown on our site.

What We Look At

When selecting and describing products, we consider:

  • Style and design — how current, versatile, or well-designed a piece is
  • Retailer reliability — whether the retailer is an established, trusted seller
  • Price positioning — how a product’s price compares to similar items elsewhere
  • Product information — the accuracy and completeness of details provided by the retailer (materials, sizing, care instructions)
  • Value for money — whether a product offers reasonable quality relative to its price

How We Source Information

Product details shown on Think & Shop (descriptions, prices, images, specifications) are sourced directly from the retailer’s own listing. We do not physically test every product ourselves. Where we make a subjective judgement — such as an “Editor’s Choice” label — this reflects our team’s assessment based on the criteria above, not a guarantee of performance.

Price and Availability

Prices and stock status are set and controlled by retailers, and can change at any time. We indicate when a listing was last checked, but we recommend confirming current price and availability directly on the retailer’s website before purchasing.

What “Editor’s Choice” Means

When we label a product “Editor’s Choice,” it means our editorial team has judged it to stand out within its category based on the criteria above. It is our opinion, not an independent lab test or certification.

Limitations

Because we rely on retailer-provided information and do not hold physical inventory, we cannot independently verify every manufacturing claim (such as “fade-resistant” or “pre-shrunk”). Where such claims appear, they originate from the retailer or manufacturer, not from independent testing by Think & Shop.

Updates to This Methodology

We may refine our review methodology over time as we improve how we evaluate products. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
